Home and Away spoilers follow for Australian-paced episodes, which some UK viewers may prefer to avoid.
Home and Away has revealed more details about the return of Darryl “Brax” Braxton and Ricky Sharpe to Summer Bay. In scenes that have already aired in Australia, the fan-favourite couple returned to screens in a special segment filmed in Western Australia.
It comes a decade after Brax faked his own death in a bid to escape his criminal past and start a new life with Ricky and their baby. They were first reintroduced into the show after receiving a call from Dean Thompson to house Tane Parata, who was facing drug charges in Summer Bay.

Former River Boy leader Brax agreed, knowing the heartache of being convicted for a crime he didn’t commit. He had previously been sentenced to 20 years behind bars for the death of Dean Sanderson, which led him to escape and go into hiding.
With Brax seemingly in the clear after Dean’s real killer confessed, he and Ricky have lived happily ever after in isolation, but a new teaser from the Australian soap shows the couple are set to return to “where they belong” in Summer Bay.
“I wish we could stop looking over our shoulder,” Ricky says in a clip posted to Instagram. Speaking about their son, Brax says: “Casey is growing up so fast. Don’t you feel like he deserves a normal life?”

Ricky then asks if this could be a chance for them to “finally clear” Brax’s name and “have their lives back”.
Brax goes on to say that he is “so tired of hiding”, while Ricky points out that the family “could lose everything”.
“Don’t you want to get back to The Bay?” Brax asks, before they are seen driving past the Summer Bay sign with Casey in tow.

Ricky actor Bonnie Sveen previously revealed that she and Brax’s Stephen Peacocke would not be back in the soap for good, so their stint in Summer Bay will be brief.
“There’s a possibility of it, but I don’t know if I can give an answer to that one,” she said. “I felt a really beautiful dynamic working with Steve again because he’s such a good person and a beautiful actor to work against. It would be amazing to revisit.”
Home and Away drops new episodes on weekdays at 6am on 5’s streaming service with a 6.30pm screening on 5STAR. Selected classic episodes are available via Prime Video in the UK.
In Australia, the show airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7pm on Channel 7 and streams on 7Plus.
