EastEnders spoilers follow.

EastEnders has seen Vicki Fowler and Ross Marshall attempt to put on a united front following Joel’s sentencing, though more drama awaits the couple when Vicki’s attraction to Zack Hudson leads to blackmail.

In yesterday’s scenes, Joel received his sentence after previously being found guilty of grievous bodily harm, voyeurism, and producing and distributing indecent images of a child. The teen was sentenced to six months in a young offenders institute, with Ross adamant he’d need to take care of his son once he’s out.

Tonight, Ross and Vicki continued their conversation about Joel’s future as she assured her fiancé that they were in this together “for better, for worse”.

“If he really does change…” Vicki said as a condition for the teen to live with them after release.

EastEnders fans know that Joel targeted his step-mum in a cruel attack that almost costs Vicki her life.

Underneath her composure, Vicki isn’t telling Ross the whole truth. She confided in Zack, with whom she had an affair in January, about being “still terrified” of Joel.

“Can you really see yourself living under the same roof as Joel?” a concerned Zack asked her, urging her to speak honestly with Ross.

However, Vicki’s conversation with Ross took a bad turn when he put his foot in his mouth, appearing to compare Joel’s attack to Vicki cheating on him, labelling both as “mistakes”.

The pair shouted at each other before Vicki stormed out, in dire need to clear her head. When they reconciled later on, Vicki insisted that her straying was a one-off that wouldn’t happen again.

However, and despite her best efforts, Vicki and Zack can’t stay away from each other. Spoilers for EastEnders revealed that the two of them will lock lips on the day of Vicki and Ross’s stag and hen do’s after Zack steps in as the stripper at the last minute.

The stolen kiss is caught on camera as a mysterious blackmailer demands cash to keep quiet. What will Vicki do?

EastEnders airs on Mondays – Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
