Cougar Town, the 2009 sitcom starring Friends’ Courteney Cox, is now partially available to stream for free in the UK. The first season has been just added to ITVX as part of the ‘A Taste of Disney+’ section, which highlights some of the best things to watch on the platform.
The show’s plot kicks off when a divorced woman in her 40s tries to get back into the dating game after decades away from it. Coming from Scrubs creator Bill Lawrence, the show goes to some pretty absurd places at times as it explores the ups and downs of dating.
As well as Cox, Cougar Town also stars Girls5Eva’s Busy Phillips, A Cinderella Story’s Dan Byrd, Scrubs’ Christa Miller, and Ally McBeal’s Josh Hopkins.

“It has its moments, not hysterically funny, more amusing, a gentle watch you could drop into anytime,” wrote another, while a third said: “Funnier than I remember. It’s not a heavy drama with insane character progression, but it’s a showcase for Courtney [sic] Cox.”
Multiple fans noted that while it starts off about Cox’s character trying to navigate dating in her 40s, the premise soon shifts to generally being about a group of friends, their bond, and the madcap situations they get into.
Cougar Town season 1 is available to stream on ITVX, while every episode can be streamed on Disney+.
