Coronation Street spoilers follow from Thursday’s episode (16 April), which is available to watch now on ITVX and YouTube but hasn’t aired on ITV1 yet.
Coronation Street airs a possible clue to next week’s murder tonight as Maggie Driscoll fantasises about getting rid of Megan Walsh forever. Maggie and Megan have both been named on a list of five characters who could lose their life at the end of Carla Connor and Lisa Swain’s wedding day next Thursday (23 April).
The aftermath of the wedding ceremony sees an ominous moment as Carla and Lisa hear the sound of a scream in the distance. They don’t realise that it’s Lisa’s daughter Betsy, who’s horrified after discovering a dead body.

In tonight’s episode, Maggie and Eva Price briefly find common ground as they agree that all of the Driscolls took their eyes off the ball when it came to Megan.
The clan are currently picking up the pieces following the disturbing revelation that Will Driscoll was groomed by Megan after she was appointed as his sports coach.
“She’s brought such misery to this family,” Maggie points out. “Slithering in like a snake, pretending to be everybody’s friend.
“Well I’ll tell you something for nothing – if I ever see her again, no-one will be able to stop me from throttling her.”

The timing couldn’t be worse as DS Lisa Swain then arrives at The Rovers to share a routine update on Will’s case – overhearing every word.
Maggie quickly backtracks, insisting that she was simply letting off steam, but could this scene have been included as a clue to the future? With tensions running so high between Maggie and Megan, they’re surely ones to watch as we head towards next week’s episodes.
Carl Webster, Jodie Ramsey and Theo Silverton are the other three characters who’ll face danger in the upcoming plot.

Following the wedding on 23 April, show bosses have announced a week of special episodes, with each focusing on a different possible victim.
“Across five nights later this month, viewers will revisit the same day but each episode will be seen from the perspective of a different potential victim,” a Corrie statement recently teased.
“At the end of the week Betsy Swain will find one of them dead and the hunt to find the killer will begin.”
Coronation Street has worked on Will and Megan’s grooming storyline with support from Barnardo’s. Support and information is available via the charity’s website.
Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
