Hollyoaks’ Ste Hay faces a tough decision when torn between his fiancé Rex Gallagher and his ex-husband James Nightingale. Ste and Rex’s relationship has been on the rocks since Ste discovered that Rex had been experimenting with crossdressing.
The couple was brought back together after the sudden death of Rex’s grandfather Froggy Black, but they were tested again when Ste’s once presumed-dead ex-husband James reappeared in their lives.

Ste turned to James about not being comfortable with Rex’s crossdressing, and a spark was clear between the two former lovers.
In scenes set to air next week on the Channel 4 soap, Ste wakes up on the floor of Dee Valley Law with James after sharing a passionate kiss the night prior – and a barrage of missed calls from Rex.
James makes it very clear he is hoping for their love to bloom once more, leaving Ste with a big decision to make between his past and his present.
Leela Lomax is enraged when she sees Ste and James getting close in her house, kicking the latter out and having stern words with Ste in an attempt to make him see sense.
Rex turns up wanting to know why Ste has been ignoring him, further confusing Ste, who then meets with James.

Later, Rex seduces Ste in the garage in a bid to remind him that, despite his experimentation, he is still the same man that Ste fell in love with.
Ro overhears Ste tell Leela that Rex has stopped experimenting with women’s clothes.
“It was only a matter of time before Ste and James reignited their passion – but Rex has no idea that his fiancé has betrayed him!” says our insider.
“Leela is furious about her brother’s infidelity, and Ste realises that he needs to make a decision about his romantic future. He loves both Rex and James, but who will he choose to be with?”

Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
