The terrifying first trailer has landed for Evil Dead Burn, the sixth instalment in the iconic horror franchise. Written and directed by Sébastien Vaniček, who helmed 2023’s Infested, the film opens in cinemas on 10 July.
Sam Raimi, who wrote and directed the original Evil Dead trilogy, serves as executive producer, alongside Robert Tapert.
The trailer, which is just over a minute long, shows a woman seemingly trapped in a rundown house where the bodies of Deadites appear all around her.

Along with the trailer, the film’s official synopsis has also been revealed, promising that Evil Dead Burn will unleash the franchise’s “most savage and terrifying ride to date, blazing onto big screens with an all-new chapter of carnage and demonic mayhem”.
The synopsis continues: “After the loss of her husband, a woman seeks solace with her in-laws in their secluded family home.
“As one by one they are transformed into Deadites—turning the gathering into a family reunion from hell—she comes to discover that the vows she took in life… live on even in death.”
The cast is led by Dune: Part Two star Souheila Yacoub, who also starred in the Nicolas Cage supernatural thriller, The Carpenter’s Son.
Tandi Wright, Hunter Doohan, Luciane Buchanan, Errol Shand, Maude Davey, George Pullar, and Greta Van Den Brink also star.

The fifth instalment in the franchise, Evil Dead Rise, hit cinemas in 2023, grossing $147 million worldwide and becoming the highest-grossing film of the series.
A seventh film, Evil Dead Wrath, is already in development, with The Last Stop in Yuma County’s Frances Galluppi, writing and directing.
Evil Dead Wrath is currently scheduled for release on April 7, 2028. The cast is led by Game of Thrones star Charlotte Hope and Mortal Kombat’s Jessica McNamee.
Evil Dead Burn hits cinemas on July 10.
