The mass monster was a central character in ‘Generation Iron 3.’

Punjab bodybuilder Varinder Singh Ghuman has passed away at 47 years old. Known for his incredible size and personality, Ghuman was able to find successin many avenues. According to a report from The Times of India, Ghuman’s family confirmed that he died from a heart attack.

Varinder’s nephew spoke with reporters and confirmed that the bodybuilder went into cardiac arrest in the hospital.

Ghuman made waves in the fitness industry as a successful bodybuilder while also working as an actor. He is known for his role in ‘Tiger 3’ where he was featured alongside Salman Khan. Varinder was also a central character in the 2018 ‘Generation Iron 3‘ film.

Varinder was highlighted in the film because he was one of the biggest things to come out of Indian bodybuilding in quite some time. He became extremely well known across the globe.

Varinder Singh Ghuman’s Career

Varinder Singh Ghuman began his career in fitness at a young age. He quickly became popular because of his work in bodybuilding and this includes becoming the first vegetarian competitor.

Once he was ready to take the next step, Varinder quickly earned his Pro Card, becoming the first Indian to earn one in the IFBB. As time went on, he began gaining more and more attention, including from Arnold Schwarzenegger, when he was named a brand ambassador to help promote health products in Asia.

Varinder is a former Mr. India from 2009 and was also the runner-up Mr. Asia that same year. In the midst of his bodybuilding career, Varinder began dabbling in movies. He made his film debut in the 2012 film ‘Kabaddi Once More.’ He was featured in multiple Bollywood films over the years.
