Emmerdale star Beth Cordingly has dropped an intriguing spoiler about what we can expect from the upcoming Christmas episodes of the soap. There’s some fun scenes ahead, and her character Ruby Miligan could find herself in a spot of bother…

With Ruby and the Dingles having covered up Anthony’s death for months, evil John recently used his knowledge of where the body is buried to blackmail Caleb into helping him flee the country.
Ruby’s harrowing story got a huge response from viewers, and Beth’s powerful performance saw her make the shortlist for Best Actress at this year’s Inside Soap Awards.

But speaking exclusively to us at the awards last week, Beth revealed that there is some fun on the horizon for her character – just in time for the festive season.
“We’ve just started filming Christmas,” Beth teased. “Ruby has something fun that happens which I think the viewers will enjoy. It involves a bit of Manpreet, Caleb getting annoyed – and Ruby trying to get herself out of trouble…”
Ruby’s recent feud with Manpreet provided some on-screen hilarity, and the pair’s clash ended with them both getting arrested!

At the police station, Ruby and Manpreet used the opportunity to end their rivalry and shared some emotional scenes when Ruby opened up about her past.
Thankfully, now Ruby and Manpreet are no longer enemies, Beth has confirmed that there’s much more to come from this unlikely duo.
“You’ll see more of Ruby and Manpreet together – we’re now friends!” she smiled. “I loved filming those scenes with Rebecca Sarker, who plays Manpreet. And Laura Norton [aka Kerry] is such a brilliant comic actress too.

“I wanted Ruby to wear a hard hat and a high vis in the depot but not have a clue what she’s doing!”
