Nordic noir series Bordertown is streaming now for UK viewers. The Finnish series, which is described as “sharp”, focuses on a detective who moves to a town on the border with Russia.
“Detective Kari Sorjonen and his family move to a town on the border with Russia, hoping for a quiet life. But then the bodies start piling up…,” the synopsis reveals.
Fans wanting to catch the series can now do so via Channel 4 and Walter Presents, with all three seasons streaming in their entirety.

Starring the likes of Ville Virtanen, Matleena Kuusniemi, Anu Sinisalo, Lenita Susi and Kristiina Halttu, Bordertown has had a strong reception from fans.
One on IMDb gave “top marks to the Finns for this show”, adding that “the stories are well thought out, the acting is good and the scenery superb”.

Another called it “a juggernaut of unfolding story lines, relationships and cinematography”, adding: “Excellent script with a series of independent stories that the main characters develop their ongoing stories and provide their back stories with every subsequent episode.”
“I really enjoyed this Finnish series,” a third wrote, calling Sorjonen “one of Finland’s best detectives”. “Each story provides a good mystery and the main characters are a lot of fun to watch.”
Bordertown isn’t the only Walter Presents show that’s worth watching, with Channel 4 recently adding Dutch series Incognito.

The show follows “troubled intelligence agent” Felix Hartman, who looks into the life of seemingly ordinary woman Lize Berg, as he’s “tasked with uncovering whether she is, in fact, a dangerous crime lord cloaked in normality”.
“He embeds himself in her everyday routines, watching, listening, waiting until the investigation spirals into a deadly dance between truth and betrayal, where one wrong step could cost them both everything,” the synopsis adds.
Bordertown seasons 1-3 are available to stream now on Channel 4.
