Emmerdale spoilers follow from Wednesday’s episode (10 December), which is available to watch now on ITVX and YouTube but hasn’t yet aired on ITV1.

Emmerdale’s Rhona Goskirk resorts to further desperate measures tonight as the fight continues to save her stepdaughter April Windsor. As Rhona’s husband Marlon is still refusing to involve Dingle family hardman Cain in the ongoing drama, the next best solution seems to be negotiating with Ray Walters and Celia Daniels.

Ray recently encouraged Rhona and Marlon to pay him £20,000 if they wanted to free April from having to complete dangerous drug jobs. An attempt to flee from the village hasn’t worked, and the Cain idea is also off the table, so Rhona and Marlon decide that it’s best to comply with the ruthless demand for cash.

With a significant shortfall still to make up, Rhona tells Marlon that she’ll start putting pressure on customers at the vets practice who haven’t paid their bills. Of course, any payments should be going direct to the business account, but Rhona isn’t playing by the rules here and will do whatever it takes to help April.

Sadly, one of the troublesome customers in question is Moira Dingle, who’s been struggling at the farm for months and owes a significant amount to the vets practice.

“I’m sorry to have to ask you this, but your account with us – there is an outstanding balance,” Rhona explains.

When Moira protests, Rhona replies: “With all due respect, Moira, we have done the work, provided the service.”
