Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale has confirmed that Aaron Dingle and Robert Sugden will be in danger over the Christmas period after a familiar face takes matters into his own hands. With the pair planning their happily-ever-after, will a spanner be thrown in the works?
The much-loved couple got back together earlier this year following the various revelations about Robert’s half-brother John, who was married to Aaron. Robert, however, had a secret – namely his marriage to Kev Townsend.
In a twisty storyline, Robert believed that Kev was terminally ill and thus pledged his future to Aaron, but the tables were turned after it was revealed that Kev was on the mend. This led to a change, with Aaron and Robert knowing they needed to oust Kev.
Kev isn’t one to back down, however, and has vowed to end up with Robert. With the drama intensifying, things got heated – literally – in the beginning of Tuesday’s (23 December) episode as Aaron and Robert saw that their festive trees had been set on fire.

Due to their recent run-in with Ross Barton, Aaron believed that he was the one behind the arson, but Robert was quick to not jump to any conclusions. Aaron confronted Ross and accused him of the crime, but he denied it.
Robert, meanwhile, was forced to confront Kev, who was in the nearby area. As he apologised for his various actions, Kev began to conceal all photos of Aaron in the house and questioned Robert about where his heart lay.
Robert continued to insist that he was in love with Aaron, though Kev refused to take no for an answer. Despite being told to leave and never come back, Kev maintained that he would never accept Robert’s decision.

He did appear to relent, with Robert saying that he needed to make a life for himself elsewhere. Despite seemingly agreeing with his words, Kev was harbouring a far more sinister vision for his future.
Robert told Aaron that Kev was the one behind the stalking, and assured his partner that he wouldn’t be a problem in the future. Aaron was far more sceptical, however, and with good reason.
As Robert believed that he had “gotten through” to Kev, the scene cut to the villain paying particular attention to a firearm, hinting that he wasn’t yet done with his estranged husband and Aaron…
