To Northern California and inspirational stories that challenge what is possible as we look to the new year, the 2026 calendar boasts some of the world’s premier sporting events. This winter will feature the Milan Cortina Olympics, where some of the top competitors grew up and trained right here in Northern California. We have so many inspiring stories in store for you. Also this winter, Super Bowl 60 will draw the nation’s attention to the Bay Area. In the summer, the FIFA World Cup is set to arrive in North America with 6 matches also taking place at Levi Stadium, and the Summer X Games are confirmed to arrive in Sacramento this June. Even if you don’t closely follow these athletes or teams, you can still take pride in the perseverance, teamwork, tenacity, and grit represented. Across the various disciplines, athletes have pushed themselves to their limits in pursuit of becoming the best version of themselves.
