David Harbour has exited an upcoming new drama movie with Pedro Pascal following the conclusion of Stranger Things. The actor was due to appear in Behemoth!, which is also set to star Don’t Worry Darling’s Olivia Wilde and is written and directed by Andor’s Tony Gilroy. However, a Searchlight Pictures representative confirmed that Harbour has bowed out of the project, with Deadline reporting his role has been recast and Will Arnett will be taking on the role instead.
Variety reports the departure is so Harbour can rest following the recent series wrap of Stranger Things, including a global rollout over the course of the past month.
Behemoth! follows “a musician from a family of musicians who returns to Los Angeles”, according to the synopsis, and is “a love letter to the music of the movies and the people who make it”.
Stranger Things concluded its five-season run last week and Netflix has since confirmed a new documentary on the making of the final season called One Last Adventure: The Making of Stranger Things 5.
The doc is touted to look at “the years of effort and craft that went into the final instalment of the Duffer Brothers’ generation-defining series”.

“We saw how stressed Peter Jackson was and thought: yep, that’s the dream,” they added. “With the decline of physical media, that kind of behind-the-scenes storytelling has largely disappeared.
