Coronation Street spoilers follow, while this article contains mention of domestic abuse.
Coronation Street will soon unveil the victim of its upcoming death mystery, with a lifeless body set to be discovered later this month. Villain Theo Silverton is one of five potential characters who could be meeting their grisly end, and tonight’s episode hinted at who might be responsible for his demise.
The episode continued from Monday’s (13 April) shocking cliffhanger, with a battered Todd Grimshaw reporting Theo for assault. As DS Lisa Swain and DC Kit Green collected evidence, Todd courageously opened up about the months of abuse he suffered at the hands of his husband.

He shared how Theo had isolated him from his friends and kept him inside their home so they wouldn’t notice his injuries, which were caused by the scaffolder. However, he also tried to explain Theo’s behaviour, tearfully claiming: “There was this side, this good side, and he’s gonna feel awful”.
Back in Weatherfield, Todd’s loved ones were still reeling after seeing him covered in blood. With his true colours finally exposed, Theo tried to flee the cobbles — but Gary Windass caught him and insisted on handing him in to the police.
“I found this in your footwell. Your wrench, your fingerprints. So I reckon if you get hurt by it, the courts are gonna believe me when I say it was self-defence,” Gary threatened in order to get him in the van.
After giving his statement, Todd emerged in the station’s reception area to find Sarah Platt frantically trying to get hold of Gary. Moments later, Gary and Theo arrived, with the latter still publicly declaring his innocence.
In the interview room, Theo was faced with pictures of Todd’s injuries and claimed he acted in self-defence, but Lisa was unconvinced by his version of events. She informed him they would be seizing his devices to recover Todd’s hidden camera footage and escorted him to a holding cell.

Meanwhile, with Theo being interviewed, worried Sarah took Todd to get checked out at the hospital, but he collapsed as he was getting out of the car. In the waiting room, George and Glenda Shuttleworth, Christina Boyd and Summer Spellman were horrified to hear the severity of his condition.
“I hate him. How could he do this to Todd?” said Summer, adding: “I’ll kill him. I swear I will.”
Having recently discovered that Theo was also behind Billy Mayhew’s death, could Summer’s words actually hold some truth? Will she enact revenge on behalf of her dads, and is Theo the one who will be found dead?
Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX and YouTube.
