Japanese watchmaker Citizen is no stranger to a collaboration, nor to a character watch. Disney and Marvel franchises, especially the Spider-Man series, have been some of the faces to appear most frequently on the brand’s statement dials. Now, the brand has launched a brand-new Disney watch with one of the most playful dials to date.

The Citizen Fix-It Goofy Inspired Watch features everyone’s favourite (or second favourite, depending on how much you like Pluto) Disney dog on the dial. A brightly coloured icon of Goofy is seen hanging up the numbers oh the watch… to mixed results. Some are backwards, some are crooked, and after 6 o’clock – well, he’s still getting there. The dial was designed by Disney artists John and Shelley Loter, and features three grey-toned hands that match the colour of the numerical markers.

Citizen.

The math comes in a 40mm silver-toned stainless steel case with a brown leather strap, and 50 metres of water resistance, meaning that it should be fine to swim with. However, the draw is Citizen’s signature Eco-Drive technology, which means that the watch’s movement can be powered and charged by any light source, whether it’s artificial or natural. It’s a neat perk of the brand’s watches that means you never have to worry about replacing the battery.

Citizen’s newest Disney character watch is already available to order directly through the watchmaker and Disney’s website, retailing for £249. For a watch with such a charmingly distinctive design, and Citizen’s signature technology, it’s a pretty good deal.
