It’s a huge episode of Emmerdale tonight as Charity and Dr Todd have a final showdown – which ends with a shocking turn of events.
Meanwhile, Billy looks to the future with Dawn as he continues to recover from his attack.

1. Dr Todd tries to intimidate Charity

Charity is shaken after Dr Todd’s unexpected return to the village. Dr Todd believes that she’s still in total control after forcing her way into Charity’s home and maliciously accusing Charity of spreading lies.
Charity wants Todd to leave, but the twisted villain refuses and grabs Charity’s phone so that she can’t call for help.
2. Charity turns the tables

Ultimately, it’s Charity who takes control of the exchange as she urges Dr Todd to confess to her horrendous crime.
Todd is finally wrong-footed as Charity speaks openly about her ordeal and how it has affected her.
Emma Atkins, who plays Charity, recently told us: “She comes face to face with Todd. And there’s just this brilliant, pivotal moment where Charity almost puts it to rest to Todd’s face.
“And she just finds peace, even though she knows maybe legally, she won’t get it.”
3. Sarah overhears the conversation

During the final stages of the tense exchange, Charity and Dr Todd are unaware that they have someone listening in – Sarah, who’s paying a visit to the cottage.
Sarah misses any mention of baby Leyla’s true parentage, but is horrified when she hears the disturbing details of Dr Todd’s sexual assault on Charity.
4. It’s the end for Dr Todd

As a row gets out of hand, Sarah pushes Dr Todd, accidentally causing her to hit her head as she falls to the ground.
This finally explains why Dr Todd’s body was seen in a flashforward scene at the start of July…
5. Billy plans a future away from the village

Billy doubles down on his claims that Joe was the one who attacked him, despite Dawn’s belief that there must be another explanation. As she takes everything in, Dawn is devastated by the thought that Joe could be capable of yet another wicked act.
Billy suggests to Dawn that they should escape the drama surrounding Joe by taking the kids and leaving the village together.
6. Things are looking up for Moira and Cain
ITV
Life is looking brighter at Wishing Well cottage, as the family celebrate Kyle’s decision to let Moira adopt him.
Cain also invites Moira to join him upstairs, hoping to get the physical side of their marriage back on track.
