Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street’s Tim and Sally Metcalfe continue to experience trouble at home with newcomer Lucy next week. Lucy’s father Richie is Tim’s cousin and has been accused of murdering his wife Rachel, with the Metcalfes taking her in following her dad’s arrest.

Tim decided to take in Lucy following his guilt after telling Ritchie to give things another try with his wife prior to her murder.
Lucy is convinced her father killed Rachel in self defence and has, unsurprisingly, has had a hard time settling into the street and the Metcalfes’ home.
The troubled teen is also struggling to understand why her father returned home to Rachel, with Tim keeping her in the dark about what really happened.

In a new preview clip for next week, Tim is feeling positive about things with Lucy and wants her to come on a shopping trip with him.
But when Lucy comes downstairs she immediately tells Tim and Sally that she doesn’t think it’s fair that she can’t see her dad, especially when Joanie and Shanice can speak to their mum Lou who is also in prison.
Tim tries to tell her that it’s different for Joanie and Shanice and that she can see her dad when social services agrees to let her.
But this causes Lucy to storm off, telling Tim and Sally: “Thanks for nothing.” Sally then sends Tim upstairs to try and talk to Lucy.

Lucy is played by Anya Dewin, who last week posted on Instagram that she was “getting to live out a dream“, after being cast in the soap.
Posting a photo outside the iconic Rovers Return pub, Anya wrote: “Still can’t quite believe I get to say this, but I’m so grateful to be joining the cast of Coronation Street!
“This has been such a blessing, working alongside the most beautiful people, and getting to live out a dream I’ve had for so long. Some dreams really come true don’t they?”
