A woman has shared the unexpected trick she uses to deter men who attempt to flirt with her at the gym. TikTok user Maria, known as @Mashaspeaches on the platform, posted a video of her ‘surprise’ tactic, which has since garnered millions of views.
In the caption, she humorously wrote: “That’s one way to get rid of them.” The video begins with Maria facing away from the camera, which slowly zooms in on her. A man can be heard asking: “Excuse me, Miss. Do you come here often?”
She is seen standing in front of gym equipment, clad in grey running shorts and a black crop top. On-screen text reads: “POV: You get hit on in the gym.” Moments later, Maria turns around, pulling a funny face at the camera – revealing that she’s heavily pregnant. The man responds: “Oh, okay then.”
She then walks off, smirking. The 10-second clip has received hundreds of comments from amused viewers. Many admitted they did not see Maria’s ‘surprise’ coming, reports the Mirror.
One commented: “Nothing on planet earth could have prepared me for that. Wow you carry so well all the best to you and family.” Another said: “Now i would NEEEVER have guessed.”

Exercising while pregnant is generally safeIs it suitable to exercise whilst pregnant?
For most women, exercising during pregnancy is generally safe and beneficial for both the mother and the baby. However, always be mindful of safety guidelines and your body’s response.
Light and moderate workouts can help you adapt to your changing body, prepare for labour, and may help alleviate common pregnancy issues. Always consult your doctor or midwife before starting or continuing any exercise during pregnancy.
Seek advice from your doctor before starting or continuing any exercise routine. Pay attention to your body and adjust your activities as needed, especially as your pregnancy progresses. If you’re just beginning with exercise, start with a few minutes each day and gradually increase the time.
Ensure you drink plenty of water and wear comfortable attire. Exercise in a room with a suitable temperature and avoid extremely hot or humid environments. Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids. Don’t exert yourself to the point of exhaustion. You should be able to hold a conversation while you exercise.
