Odstock Health & Fitness Centre, based at Salisbury District Hospital, has been recognised for its supportive and community-focused approach to fitness and wellbeing.
Leisure Centre manager Sally Crook said the nomination means “a tremendous amount” to the team.
She said: “Our highly trained and qualified team work hard to offer an encouraging, friendly environment, supporting our members through their exercise journey, whether they are recovering from illness or injury, entering the world of fitness for the first time or just offering tips and advice to regular gym users.”

The centre also runs the ‘Odstock Orcas’ swim school, providing lessons for all ages from babies through to adults, as well as running a squad and working with charity Level Water to provide lessons for children with special educational needs.
Ms Crook said the centre plays an important role in supporting the wellbeing of hospital staff, patients, and the wider community.
“With the wide range of activities available there is something to offer everyone,” she said.
“Social groups are made, friendships formed and the team are always there to deliver with their enthusiasm and passion.”
It is one of nine shortlisted gyms, also including Workout Lab, Sarum CrossFit, PureGym, Parkwood, Crazy Strength, Noble Movement Hub, Kingdom Barbell, and Five Rivers Leisure Centre.
