Jetts Fitness has announced plans to open its new Ipswich gym at the Rosehill Centre, off Felixstowe Road.

The gym is currently being advertised as “opening soon”, with prospective members able to register their interest ahead of the launch.

The new club will occupy the 7,536 sq ft unit, which was previously home to Energie Fitness.

Jetts says the Ipswich gym will feature a range of equipment and dedicated training spaces, including plate-loaded and pin-loaded machines, Olympic lifting platforms, free weights, cardio equipment and a sledge and sprint track.

Members will also have access to a functional training zone, stretching and recovery area, private changing facilities and shower rooms.

The club will be fully air-conditioned and offer free parking.

Group exercise will form part of the offer, with Jetts promising its J-Series classes alongside a full group-class timetable and instructor-led sessions. Personal training will also be available.

The arrival of Jetts gives the former Energie Fitness premises a new lease of life after the gym stopped trading.

Energie Fitness had been established at Rosehill for several years before it closed in December 2023.

At the time, the gym had been taken by the landlord, East of England Co-operative Society Limited.

The gym premises had been empty since then. Jetts Gym will join Greggs, Aldi, Mydentist, British Heart Foundation and Bargain Buys in the retail area, meaning every unit will be filled.

Jetts is currently inviting people to register for updates, with a Founder Member Offer promising discounted membership prices for those who sign up early.
