Crystal Gardner hosted a special session at Wootton Park to support the 8:56 Foundation in memory of Lee Calton, a local man who died by suicide in 2021.

The event combined circuit training with yoga and relaxation, with all proceeds donated to the charity.

Ms Gardner said: “Norfolk’s suicide rate is above the national average and the work the 8:56 Foundation does makes such a positive difference, particularly in reducing loneliness and isolation.

“Many of my clients recognise the mental health benefits of movement through the sense of community, improved focus and the positive effects of exercise, so using the sessions we were already attending to support 8:56 just made sense.”

The £100 raised will fund at least two counselling sessions through the charity.

Ms Gardner said: “Talking with someone about how you feel is something you might have to practise, like football training, but as with all training, it gets easier.”
