Gyms in the Reading area can be heavily oversubscribed at peak times, especially during the Reading festival, when visiting youngsters can be seen queuing around the corner at the PureGym in Caversham.
The new offering, PureGym Reading Winnersh, will open at 10am on October 27.
The 13,750sqft gym will be located on King Street Lane, close to Sainsbury’s and Starbucks.

As ever, it will provide its members with 24/7 access to flexible fitness through no-contract memberships.
With more than 160 pieces of equipment, the new gym will feature a range of facilities designed to support members’ health and fitness goals.
This includes free weights, fixed resistance machines, cardio equipment and a range of group exercise classes.
It will also have a Women’s Workout Space (WWS), a private area alongside the main gym for female members who might feel more comfortable in an alternative space.
The gym will create twelve new jobs in the local health and fitness sector, including certified personal trainers (PTs) available to work with members to help them reach their fitness goals.
The club will also benefit from free parking.
A spokesperson for PureGym said: “With demand for affordable, flexible fitness continuing to rise, the opening of PureGym Reading Winnersh marks another exciting step in PureGym’s growth across the UK.
“The new gym will provide members with everything they need to achieve their goals, from state-of-the-art equipment to a welcoming training environment and certified PTs.
“We’re looking forward to opening our doors and welcoming new members to PureGym Reading Winnersh next month.”
PureGym is also on the lookout for people who want to join PureGym through its Personal Training Academy.
This programme equips candidates to become certified PTs in 14 weeks.
The PT Academy also provides ongoing PT business support and opportunities for career progression into management roles.
