Choc’late Mama Cookie Co.
The E’ville Eye reports that Choc’late Mama Cookie Co., a vegan dessert and community wellness space, has closed temporarily. On Instagram, the business cites an “administrative review” for the closure, but online ordering is still up and running. You’ll also find Choc’late Mama cookies stocked at Mandela Grocery in West Oakland. Choc’late Mama was located at 4310 Hubbard St. in Emeryville.
Small Change Oyster Bar
Temescal oyster outpost Small Change announced on Instagram that the restaurant is temporarily closed as it undergoes renovations. With an intimate bar area and a sprawling back patio, Small Change is one of the East Bay’s best spots for slurping oysters and natural wines when the sun comes out. There’s no word on when they plan to reopen or what kinds of changes are being made to the space, but stay tuned for the reopening details. Small Change was located at 5000 Telegraph Ave. (at 51st St.) in Oakland.
