Nosh reported in September that Vanessa’s Bistro, a longtime Vietnamese mainstay run by a mother-daughter duo, was set to close permanently at the end of 2025. At the time, the landlord had decided not to renew the lease after 20 years. In a remarkable change of course, Vanessa’s Bistro will remain open, according to co-owner Vi Nguyen, as the landlord has seemingly been swayed. Stop by Vanessa’s for dishes like Vietnamese green papaya salad with poached prawns, five spiced honey marinated quail, and spicy sautéed lemongrass.
