An update is expected Thursday on an effort to resolve the Tijuana River sewage crisis in the South Bay.
Environmental Protection Agency Director Lee Zeldin will be back in San Diego. He first visited the South Bay last April and promised a 100 solution to the problem.
Homeowners and business owners in the area have said there has not been enough progress, and continue to complain of health issues linked to the sewage.
Zeldin plans to meet with small business owners today, and will hold a roundtable with officials to discuss the next steps to address the problem.
