An unknown assailant fired multiple shots from a vehicle and injured a teenage boy driving in another vehicle near Atlantic Avenue and Artesia Boulevard in Long Beach early Saturday, Feb. 28.
The suspect and motive for the attack remained under investigation as of Saturday afternoon, according to a Long Beach Police Department spokesperson.
The boy sustained non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to the upper body, according to police.
Police responded to a local hospital about 2 a.m. where the teenager, who self transported, was receiving treatment. Officers then located the crime scene and called in detectives.
