The City of Carson kicked off Autism Awareness Month with their annual Autism Acceptance 5K on Saturday, April 4. The event, which drew runners of all ages, wrapped around the Carson Event Center and included a resource fair, live entertainment and raffle prizes.
The resource fair included a myriad of services and resources provided by the City of Carson and local nonprofit organizations, advocates and families.
“This community-driven event aims to foster inclusion, provide vital resources to families and celebrate the vibrant neurodiverse community in Carson and the surrounding South Bay area,” the City of Carson said in a press release.
