SAN JOSE — Firefighters responded to a fire that broke out near Excite Ballpark Sunday afternoon, authorities said.
The blaze, located on the 500 block of Spartan Court, was called into authorities at 3:19 p.m., according to a social media post from the San Jose Police Department.
The fire was threatening three nearby structures, authorities said. Firefighters were able to keep the exterior fire from extending into those structures.
The blaze was brought under control at 3:49 p.m., authorities added.
Traffic was closed in both directions on Senter Road so firefighters could access a water supply. Authorities asked that people avoid the area.
