A South Bay man was arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting two women, cornering at least one of them during a tattoo appointment in Milpitas, police said this week.
Tai To, a 45-year-old resident of San Jose, was booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail for felony sexual assault on April 30, according to the Milpitas Police Department. His arrest came after a woman reported the assault to the department in March.
Detectives found that To had assaulted the woman during a tattoo appointment at an undisclosed location in Milpitas, the department said. Their investigation also turned up a second victim, who was allegedly assaulted by To “during previous interactions,” authorities said.
It was unclear Wednesday whether the other assault also occurred during a tattoo appointment. A spokesperson for the department did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
To was no longer in custody Wednesday evening, according to jail records.
