SAN JOSE — Two people were arrested after a woman reported an assault with a deadly weapon Thursday in San Jose, police said.
The incident happened around 1:05 p.m. in the 100 block of South Capitol Avenue, between Florence and Rose avenues, according to the San Jose Police Department. A woman inside a home reported that three people had assaulted her with an “unknown object.”
The victim was taken to an area hospital to be treated for her injuries, which police said were not life-threatening.
Officers surrounded the residence and negotiated a peaceful surrender, according to police. Five people exited the home, and two were taken into custody without incident.
No other details were released Thursday.
“This investigation is active and ongoing,” police said.
