SANTA CLARA — A motorcyclist died after colliding with a car Tuesday night in Santa Clara, police said.
The crash was reported at 9:08 p.m. on Kiely Boulevard at Kaiser Drive, according to the Santa Clara Police Department.
The motorcyclist, identified as a 20-year-old Santa Clara man, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office will release his identity after it is confirmed and his next of kin is notified.
Police said an initial investigation revealed that the man was riding a Honda motorcycle on Kiely Boulevard when he crashed into a silver Kia occupied by two people.
The driver of the Kia suffered a minor injury, police said. The passenger was not injured.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
