Nearly 8,500 San Jose residents were without power on Sunday evening due to an unplanned PG&E outage.
The outage began at 7:30, largely impacting residents in the Cambrian and Almaden neighborhoods in South San Jose. By 9:15, power had been restored for all but 2,591 customers, according to a spokesperson for PG&E.
The spokesperson said they were actively investigating the cause of the outage and did not have a time estimate for when power would be fully restored.
