SAN JOSE — Firefighters knocked down a fire at a Burger King restaurant early Thursday morning, authorities said.
The fire is under investigation by the San Jose Fire Department’s Arson Unit to determine its cause and origin, said Jake Pisani, SJFD’s public information manager.
Fire authorities dispatched a firefighters to the Burger King, located on the 5100 block of Moorpark Avenue, at 5:15 a.m., Pisani said.
Firefighters utilized a defensive posture and aerial master streams to fight the fire, Pisani added. It was knocked down by 7:51 a.m. Firefighters brought it under control by 8:38 a.m.
Authorities asked people to avoid the area while they fought the fire, noting that nearby traffic was impacted. Closed roads were reopened just before 8:30 a.m.
There were no injuries reported, Pisani added.
