Museum yard sale
The Sunnyvale Historical Society will be hosting its annual Vintage and Yard Sale on Saturday, Sept. 26, 8-a.m.-3 pm, in the courtyard of the Sunnyvale Heritage Museum, 570 E. Remington Drive.
Sale items—which will be organized by kind—include vintage china, glass, linens and jewelry as well as regular household items, tools, decorative objects and seasonal decorations, tools, kitchen equipment and crafting supplies, all reasonably priced. There will be toys, dolls, stuffed toys, puzzles and games for children, as well as puzzles and games for adults.
This event is run entirely by museum volunteers, and all profits will benefit museum operations. The Sunnyvale Historical Society, which runs the museum, is a nonprofit organization and relies on fundraisers such as this sale to keep the museum running.

Housing meeting
Sunnyvale residents can learn more about a proposed housing project on Oakmead Parkway at an Aug. 24 public meeting, when staff will explain the project, answer questions, hear public comments about environmental concerns and discuss reasonable alternatives that should be evaluated in the Environmental Impact Report (EIR).
The public can review and comment on the draft EIR for the project through Sept. 14. The city is asking residents, organizations and public agencies for feedback on the scope and content of the environmental analysis included in the report.
The project at 1250 Oakmead Parkway would remove an existing office building and parking lot on a site of about 7.93 acres. In its place, the developer proposes to build 318 homes. This includes 64 affordable homes, parking, landscaping and open space.
