A vegan Mexican food business inside Emeryville’s Public Market will close after August 30, it announced on Instagram. “It was thanks to the community support and love that our initial 6 month residency at the @lacocinasf kiosk turned into 15 beautiful months full of learning, and happy dances every time someone complimented the food,” the post states in part.” The restaurant serves vegan tacos, tortas, and drinks, plus vegan tamales during the holidays. Chong Qing Noodles

An Alameda restaurant spotlighting handmade noodles and dumplings has shuttered. Chong Qing Noodles served beef noodle soup, dumplings in spicy chili oil sauce, cucumber salad, and other Chinese dishes. Bull Tacos will take over that location, according to Alameda Pulse. The Coffee Mill

Last week, we shared that The Coffee Mill, a brunch spot near Lake Merritt in Oakland, seemed temporarily closed. Now, it appears like it has shuttered completely, as multiple readers spotted “For Lease” signs in the windows. Home of Chicken and Waffles

A longtime Jack London neighborhood favorite is closing soon. Home of Chicken and Waffles, which opened in 2004 in Oakland, will be closing its doors for good at the end of this month. The diner is known for its thin, crispy and buttery waffles, fried chicken, and side dishes such as candied yams, mac n cheese, and greens, as well as other breakfast dishes and entrees.
