Theft by false pretenses: A Saratoga resident reported that someone acted as an Apple employee, claimed their pay account was compromised and ultimately convinced them to send money via gift card codes for a total loss of about $4,750.

Vandalism: At 6:18 a.m., deputies responded to a disturbance at a residence in the 18000 block of Allendale Avenue. An investigation revealed the suspect smashed several flowerpots and punctured three tires on a vehicle, causing damage estimated at approximately $1,820.

Reckless driving: At 2:40 a.m., deputies stopped a motorist on Saratoga Avenue at Highway 85 after deputies observed the motorist committing multiple reckless driving maneuvers. The vehicle was towed, and the suspect was cited and released.
