The widely popular Stonestown Galleria in San Francisco announced last week that it is extending its hours. The shopping center, which draws shoppers from around the Bay Area, said it will open one hour earlier on Fridays and Saturdays. Its new hours on those days are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Stonestown, which boasts 90-plus retail outlets including Apple, Sephora and Zara, continues to expand in a struggling landscape that includes the nearby San Francisco Centre, Southland Mall in Hayward, and others.
The 55-year-old Eastridge Center in San Jose, also known as the Eastridge Mall, has seen busier days, but under new ownership, it is getting a spark of new life. The mall is also changing its hours—but for just one night—as it hosts its first late-night rave party and DJ concert. On September 5, the Mallorama event will run from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.

San Francisco Premium Outlets in Livermore will remain open for an extra hour during Labor Day weekend, Sept. 5–7. Check specific daily schedules.
Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek will close two hours early on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 7, operating from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Individual store and restaurant hours may vary.
