STOLEN VEHICLE: 6:50 a.m. on Bruce Avenue. Sometime overnight, the caller’s white Kia Sportage was taken from in front of their residence. The AirTag in the car showed that it was traveling on northbound on I-880 toward San Leandro.
VEHICLE TAMPERING: 9:08 a.m. on El Rancho Avenue. Sometime overnight, a catalytic converter was stolen from a 2008 Lexus RX400H.
VEHICLE ACCIDENT: A two-vehicle collision resulted in minor injuries. The passenger of one of the vehicles was pregnant and was in pain.
Aug. 21
GRAND THEFT: 2:49 p.m. at La Rinconada Country Club on Clearview Drive. A suspect broke into the caller’s unlocked vehicle and stole their $700 wallet and about $600 in cash.
PETTY THEFT: 9:51 p.m. on Parkside Court. A caller said that some parents stole their student’s display monitor and laptops. The parents said they would be home tonight to return the items, but then the parents said they wouldn’t be back for a week. The caller said they needed those items soon.

PETTY THEFT: 9:14 a.m. at Live Oak Apartments on Blossom Hill Road. A woman who keeps her cash in a locked box in her apartment noticed it was missing on Friday. The total loss was $3,000.
GRAND THEFT: 11:15 a.m. at Aventino Apartments on Winchester Circle. A dark green BMC road bike was stolen from the bike garage sometime in the past week. It was worth between $5,000 and $6,000.
GRAND THEFT: 8:30 p.m. on Blossom Hill Road. A copper theft occurred around 5 a.m. The caller said they were notified by the alarm system. The approximate value of the stolen copper was $35,000.
