SANTA CLARA — An office building in Santa Clara involved in a foreclosure due to a failed real estate loan was bought by a Bay Area investment group for $44.3 million, less than half its recently assessed value, records show.
SFF Realty Partners, through an affiliate, acquired the 152,300-square-foot building at 2390 Mission College Blvd., a grant deed filed on Aug. 28 in Santa Clara County shows.
The building suffered a default in January 2025 on a $72 million loan provided in 2022 by Tennessee-based investment management firm AllianceBernstein.
In May 2025, an AllianceBernstein affiliate foreclosed on the loan.
As of January, the building’s assessed value was roughly $103 million.
