This week, Gov. Gavin Newsom declared today — 9/25 — Dolly Parton Day in California, but Al and Diana Vallorz at Tony & Alba’s Pizza and Pasta were way ahead of the state.
The restaurant on Stevens Creek Boulevard had already planned a fundraiser for Parton’s Imagination Library, offering their takes on two of Dolly’s faves.
Parton’s favorite pizza was said to be Mexican Pizza from Taco Bell, so Tony & Alba’s is putting those toppings on a pizza crust and also serving banana pudding for dessert.
The Mexican Pizza and Banana Pudding combo will sell for $20 until it’s gone, with $10 of that going to the Imagination Library foundation. And they’ll be playing her music all day, naturally.
