San Jose police responded to a fatal multi-vehicle collision on Saturday afternoon, according to a social media post on X.
The collision occurred in the area of Blossom Hill Road and Santa Teresa Boulevard around 3:54 p.m. One woman was pronounced deceased at the hospital. Several people were transported to local hospitals with varying injuries.
Police closed the entire intersection and surrounding streets to investigate the crash. Authorities notified the public on X to avoid the area and use alternate routes because they anticipate the closure to last several hours.
