David Granado Jr., 30, died in a hospital on Thursday, July 30, four days after he sustained a traumatic brain injury while attending the Warped Tour show in Long Beach, his brother said in social media posts.
He was attending the punk/alternative rock festival July 26 with companions including his brother Alejandro, who told an Orange County Register reporter that they had been separated for a few hours when he received a call saying David had been taken to the medical tent and then to a hospital.
“I was with him in the crowd a lot and it wasn’t crazy, just hoping to find out what happened,” said a Reddit post from an account that Alejandro Granado confirmed was his.
In addition to seeking information from anybody who saw Granado at the show, the family has started a GoFundMe account.
