SAN JOSE — Three suspects have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery earlier this year in San Jose, police said.
The incident was reported just before 11 p.m. on May 28 at a business in the 2600 block of Monterey Road, San Jose police spokesperson Stacie Shih said in a news release Tuesday.
After entering the business, one of the suspects brandished a handgun at an employee while the other two stole cash and miscellaneous merchandise, Shih said.
Shih said the suspects wore masks, gloves and hooded clothing to conceal their identities, but detectives were able to identify them as a 19-year-old Tracy man, an 18-year-old San Jose man and a 17-year-old San Jose boy. Warrants were issued for their arrest.
On July 30, detectives arrested the 18-year-old man in San Jose, Shih said, adding that they also recovered a firearm and merchandise stolen in the robbery.
Detectives arrested the other suspects on Aug. 5 — the 19-year-old man in Tracy and the 17-year-old boy in San Jose — and recovered additional merchandise, Shih said.
All three were arrested on suspicion of robbery. The two men were booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail and the boy into Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall.
