SAN JOSE — A car sales and service complex, along with a gas station, have been proposed for a longtime retail site across the street from the Westfield Oakridge shopping center in South San Jose, plans on file at City Hall show.
At the southeast corner of Blossom Hill Road and Winfield Boulevard, the dealership is expected to total 175,400 square feet, according to plans.
A retail center and gas station with addresses ranging from 942 to 968 Blossom Hill Road are currently on the development site.
The project proposal states the retail building would be demolished for the vehicle sales and service complex. It wasn’t clear whether the existing gas station would remain, be renovated, or be replaced.
Over the years, the current retail building on site included tenants such as Big 5 Sporting Goods, Mattress Nation and Leslie’s Pool Supplies.
Perusina Winfield Family LP is listed as the owner of the three parcels at the location, including the retail center, gas station and an adjacent Olive Garden restaurant building, Santa Clara County real estate files show.
The Olive Garden site wasn’t included in the development proposal, according to city planning documents.
