Saturday’s Clean N’ Green event in Carson has been postponed because of heavy rain forecast to hit Southern California over the coming days, the Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts has announced.
“The decision was jointly made by the City of Carson and the Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts, through its nonprofit Clean Water Works Education Foundation,” the sanitation agency said in a press release, “to ensure the safety of all participants and attendees.”
The event, originally scheduled to take place on Saturday, Nov. 15, at the A.K. Watten Water Resource Facility, the largest wastewater plant in Los Angeles County — treating more than 200 million gallons of water per day.
The event would have provided attendees with the opportunity to learn about the work the Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts do to treat and conserve water in the South Bay.
A new date for the event has not yet been announced.
