Carson’s annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place next week.

The annual tradition, which is scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, will include lighting the city’s tree to commemorate the beginning of the winter season in Carson.

The ceremony, at the Carson Event Center, will also include live performances by The Holiday Carolers and Enrichment Modern Dance Group, light refreshments, and a holiday craft station. And hildren and families will have the opportunity to write letters to Santa.

“The Tree Lighting Ceremony officially kicks off our holiday season in Carson,” said Carson Mayor Lula Davis-Holmes. “It is a magical moment as the tree is illuminated, but the true magic is the light that lives in each member of our community. Our residents are what makes this city truly shine.”
