City Food Hall Orlando is going to the dogs on Saturday, when the Barks, Bites ‘N Brews craft beer festival rolls in for a growling good time from 2-6 p.m. VIP guests enjoy early entry at 1 p.m. for special, exclusive pours.

Presented by Ivanhoe Park Brewing Company, City Food Hall Orlando and GoSee Local Events, planners envision good times for attending humans and their pups.

“We love dogs and we love beer,” says GoSee Local Events CEO and founder James Kane, whose operation provides a ticketing platform for local event organizers and other businesses across Central Florida. “We have partnered with Barkhaven and the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando on past projects and do a lot of community events for dogs and their people, and we feel that there’s an opportunity to create more of them while supporting many Orlando-local businesses.”

General admission tickets ($45) give guests and their pups access to unlimited pours from participating craft breweries, as well as entry to the vendor marketplace, which will feature both dog-related products (treats, clothing, leashes, more) and a mix of others. There will be dog activities and contests, as well.

The VIP Brew Pass ($58) adds an extra hour to the fun, along with first-hour exclusive pours from craft brewers, as well as spirited pours from two bourbon vendors, on site from 1-2 p.m. only.

That Ivanhoe Village is the chosen location is no accident, says Kane.

“Between the bars, restaurants, breweries and parks, it’s probably the most dog-friendly festival area,” he opines. “A lot of neighborhoods have dog-friendly venues, but then you have to jump in the car and head to the next place. Ivanhoe is great because it’s walkable with the dogs.”

“Our goal with Barks, Bites ‘N’ Brews is to highlight the amazing talent in Central Florida’s craft beer and food scene,” Kane says.

City Food Hall is home to a wealth of culinary talent, including the slurpy stylings of multiple Orlando Sentinel Foodie Award-winner Ramen Takagi, the artisan egg sandwiches of Eggdose, Filipino fare at Taglish and more.

Breweries represented at the festival will include Ivanhoe Park Brewing Company, Sideward Brewing, Hourglass Brewing, Ravenous Pig Brewing and more.

“It’s a great venue for food, for dogs and with the festival especially, for beers,” says Kane.
