Couple recounts ‘crazy' encounter with masked man with axe near Fort Lauderdale airport. Jason Morgan said the Friday morning encounter was like something out of a horror movie. "He approached me and raised the axe and said, 'Are you ready?' And I said, 'What is this?' And he kind of smiled, raise it again and say, 'You ready?'" Morgan said. Morgan said he managed to take the axe away, while his girlfriend called 911 and the person fled on foot. "He running like he's in a movie, like a Freddy Krueger kind of person, just running off like slow motion. It was crazy," girlfriend Lilieth Crawford said. Crawford said the man was wearing a ski mask and camouflage. #FortLauderdale #Broward
