EAST FLATBUSH — BOJANGLES OPENED ITS first New York location, marking the North Carolina-founded fried chicken chain’s entry into the state, Business Wire reports.
The Brooklyn outpost at 5910 Church Ave. opened to the public early Monday, Jan. 12, following a preview event for local first responders and community groups.Â
The dining room will close at midnight, while the drive-thru will operate 24/7. The opening is part of a long-term franchise agreement by operator Habib Hashimi and Hashimi Holding Corp. to develop up to 20 Bojangles locations in New York City over the next decade.
Founded in 1977, Bojangles has more than 850 locations nationwide and is expanding beyond its Southern base as competition intensifies in the city’s fast-casual chicken market.
