With every new year comes the resolution to get into shape. Whether your workout arc lasts one week or all year, here are some fun and unique fitness classes around Dallas-Fort Worth to help you break a sweat and hit your fitness goals this year. These classes include cycling, indoor rock climbing, yoga, dancing and even circus classes.

iiCE FITNESS

Burn calories — and have a fun time doing it — at one of the many cycling classes at iiCE Fitness. Riders can work out to Indian, Arabic, Afro music and even a live banda. This immersive indoor cycling experience is filled with yelling, towel waving, high-fiving and community building.

DETAILS: Open Monday through Friday from 5 to 8 a.m. and 5 to 8 p.m., on Saturday from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 2629 N. Stemmons Freeway, Suite 235, Dallas. The first class is $15.

Face your fear of heights and gain grip strength at one of the many movement gym locations around the metroplex. Inside the 45,000-square-foot climbing gym, patrons can take one of the rope climbing, bouldering, yoga and fitness classes.

DETAILS: Movement Gym in the Design District is open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 141 Glass St., Dallas. First class is free, and classes are $30, day passes are $24, and memberships start at $80.

DALLAS CIRCUS CENTER

Live out your wildest dreams of joining the circus by taking one of the many circus classes the Dallas Circus Center has to offer. Patrons can soar through the air on a trapeze, build their core and arm strength in the CrossFit area or execute breathtaking aerial stunts on silks.

DETAILS: Classes at the Dallas Circus Center range from $30 to $60 depending on the class. The center is at 2355 W. Northwest Highway, Dallas.

OAK CLIFF PILATES

Pilates has become popular in recent years due to its low-impact mind-body exercise system. Oak Cliff Pilates offers many different classes in classical Pilates and reformer Pilates at its three studios located in Bishop Arts, Uptown and Lower Greenville. Each class is 45 minutes long.

DETAILS: Classes at Oak Cliff Pilates range from $16 to $25 a session. The studios are located at 196 W. Davis St., Dallas, 2222 McKinney Ave. #160, Dallas and 2000 Greenville Ave., Dallas.

BFIT CARDIO DANCE

Break a sweat while dancing on beat at BFIT Cardio Dance where traditional exercise is transformed into an exhilarating experience. During the hour-long classes, participants learn routines for line dances, Hip Hop music, R&B music, Afro Beats and Pop music. People interested in taking a class can use the Bfit Cardio Dance app to sign up.

DETAILS: Classes at Bfit Cardio Dance are on Mondays from 7 to 8 p.m., Wednesday from 6 to 7 p.m., Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. and Sunday from noon to 1 p.m. at Kumbala Dance 4801 Spring Valley Road, Suite 118, Farmers Branch. The first class is $5 and then it’s $10 for every single session.

THE MOVEMENT LOFT

The Movement Loft’s motto is: “Inspired movement. Inspired by you.” It offers adult dance classes like ballet, modern, hip hop, tap and more. The loft also has classes in yoga, sound bath and meditation, and bilingual classes.

DETAILS: Classes at The Movement Loft are $25 each. The studios are located at 3122 Swiss Ave, Dallas and 1300 S. Polk Street, Dallas.

SEVA COMMUNITY YOGA

FREE Join a yoga class that is free and open to the community. For the past year Seva Community Yoga has been hosting various classes at multiple locations around Dallas for over the past year.

DETAILS: The next Seva Community Yoga class will be held on Dec. 21 at 11 a.m. at Vickery Meadow Library, 8333 Park Lane, Dallas. Free.

DFW BOXING CLUB

Try out hand-to-hand combat at DFW Boxing Club. Learn about mixed martial arts, kickboxing, USTU Olympic Style Tae Kwon Do, Karate, Muay Thai boxing, boxing, executive kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and self-defense training. The club also offers personal training.

DETAILS: Two free training sessions are included with any class. The DFW Boxing Club is located at 2091 E Division St., Arlington and 4525 Lemmon Avenue, Dallas.
